04/10/2010 : DRILL : Delaware River, Scudders Falls (Clinton)

03/09/2010 : DRILL : Rope Drill (Clinton)

On Tuesday March 9, the squad held an in house rope rescue awareness drill. The focus of the drill was on knot tying. Rescue company members had the opportunity to practice and refresh their rope skills and work with fellow team members.

02/14/2010 : DRILL : Ice Rescue Training (Annandale)

The Squad has 7 new members qualified in Ice Rescue Operations. They were all trained the second week of February. Great job to all

11/15/2009 : DRILL : Round Valley Res. (Clinton Twp)

The Squad went to Round Valley on a unseasonably warm November day to train on our new marine unit 455-3 and also our other units. The new boat is a Ribcraft AF14 with a 35hp jet engine. The Squad has a large portion of the South Branch of the Raritan River that runs through it and has floods that plague downtown. This boat will be used for river and swift water rescue.

11/11/2009 : DRILL : Extrication Drill (Tewksbury)

The Squad and Tewksbury Rescue Squad held a joint extrication drill. Members were split into 2 groups with both departments in each. It was a great training time for all. Tewksbury's Rescue truck is our former truck that was replaced in 2004

09/10/2009 : DRILL : Trailco (Lebanon)

The North Hunterdon Rescue Services held a drill together to go over proper stabilization of large trucks and the second station was for cars. NHRS is a regional rescue group made up of Clinton EMS, Annandale Hose, Quakertown Fire, High Bridge Fire and Lebanon Boro Fire Depts. We drill on diffierent topics throughout the year and it builds teamwork between departments.

08/09/2009 : DRILL : Rescue Drill (Union Twp)

The rescue company division of CFARS participated in an extrication drill on August 9, 2009. The drill involved operation of hydraulic tools that are carried on Heavy Rescue 45-56. Rescue members gained valuable practice with the tools as well as proper cribbing of unstable vehicles. The rescue company holds drills regularly on the apparatus and theory behind vehicle rescue, as a large amount of our call volume is made up of motor vehicle accidents.

05/25/2009 : DRILL : Round Valley Recreation Area (Lebanon)

On May 25, the Clinton First Aid and Rescue Squad Water Team held a drill at Round Valley. The drill topic was boat operations and maneuvering, as well as swim testing for several rescue-swimmer candidates. The weather was perfect to be out on the water. The team holds a water drill monthly to keep skills sharp and our equipment in condition. Units on location included Boat 455-1, Boat 455-2, Special Services 45-57, Heavy Rescue 45-56, and BLS 45-52.

08/07/2008 : DRILL : Exxon Research (Annandale)

The Hunterdon County Technical Rescue Task force drill was held at Exxon Research on Thursday, August 7th. The drill simulated two workers getting overwhelmed by fumes and passing out inside a chemical storage tank with "known hazardous materials inside." Hunterdon County Haz. Mat also participated in the drill, and provided decon, and Hazard control. Task force members made entry with haz mat suits on, and built a rope system to remove the patients from the tank. Other tasks performed were air monitoring, scene lighting, hazard control, decon, and patient packaging. Agencies involved were 22 rescue, 45 rescue, 49 rescue, and Hunterdon County Haz-mat.

04/20/2008 : DRILL : Trench Drill (Pittstown)

The Clinton First Aid and Rescue Squad participated in the Hunterdon County Technical Rescue Task Force trench drill on Sunday April 20, 2008 at the old dragstrip in Pittstown. The scenario was two workers trapped in a "T" trench while digging a pipeline. This was one of four annual trench exercises and was held in conjunction with the trench rescue operations class. The drill was attended by Clinton EMS/Rescue, Flemington EMS/Rescue, and Whitehouse EMS/Rescue.

04/09/2008 : DRILL : Round Valley (Annandale)

The water rescue team at Clinton First Aid and Rescue squad performed a cold water drill on April 9, 2008 at Round Valley Reservoir. The water was a chilly 42 degrees. Clad in dry suits, members of the team practiced rescuing and immobilizing a victim of an emergency in the frigid waters.

06/03/2007 : DRILL : Task Force Drill (Annandale)

The Squad along with the Hunterdon County Technical Rescue Task Force performed their quarterly drill on trench rescue. The HCTRTF had a 16 ft long by 8 ft deep straight trench with one person pinned under a water main. Crews had the trench rescue scenerio completed in 1 hr 10 min, which included hazard control, dewatering 4 feet of water from the trench, dropped 4 trench panels and shot 6 paratech struts before applying the LSP half back and set up a tripod with a 4:1 haul system to remove the patient. In all, 25 members of the county task force participated. The HCTRTF is comprised of Clinton, Flemington-Raritan, Lambertville and Whitehouse Rescue Squads.

05/05/2007 : DRILL : Alpha Fire Department Training (Clinton)

The squads rescue company held a joint vehicle rescue drill with the Alpha Fire Department. Rescue 4556 drilled all day on different vehicle rescue scenerios with Alpha who is just starting to do vehicle rescue in their response area

12/12/2006 : DRILL : HCESTC (Annandale)

The squad had there monthly extrication drill at the training center. There were several evolutions that the crews went thru.

09/12/2006 : DRILL : Vehicle Rescue Drill (Annandale)

The squad had it's bi-monthly extrication drill on September 12,2006 at the Emergency Services Training Center. Several evolutions were performed by various members of the rescue company.

06/25/2006 : DRILL : Clinton Fire Department (Annandale)

On June 25th the Clinton Fire Department hosted a drill with a structural collapse simulator. The Squad attended the drill with Rescue 45-56, Technical Rescue Trailer 45-59, Special Services Unit 45-57, and BLS unit 45-54. During the day the Fire Department and the Squad worked together and participated in several scenario based evolutions. The day proved to be a great learning experience and team building exercise.

06/13/2006 : DRILL : Exxon Research (Annandale)

On June 13th the Clinton First Aid & Rescue Squad held there monthly Rescue Company drill. The topic of this months drill was rope rescue. During the drill the members of the rescue company practiced different rigging techniques as well as ran through scenarios Appling what they have learned. The drill was held at the Exxon-Mobile Research facility’s water treatment center.

04/18/2006 : DRILL : Round Valley (Annandale)

During the evening of April 18th the Squad held its monthly EMS drill. The drill for this month was an “EMS Rodeo”. The event was designed to incorporate driving, patient care, and patient movement skills as well as promote team work. During the event the teams of 2 had to work tighter to drive to a mock scene, move a patient in a stairchair, and transfer them to a stretcher then to the ambulance.

04/11/2006 : DRILL : Hunterdon County Training Cent (Annandale)

Clinton EMS/Rescue held a drill during the evening of April 11th 2006. The topic of the drill was vehicle extrication. Through the night the Squad trained on various extrication techniques including roof removal, side and door removal, and dash board evolutions using different types of tools.

Clinton EMS/Rescue and the Pattenburg Fire Department held a joint drill during the evening of April 10th 2006. The topic of the drill was vehicle extrication. 11/20/2005 : DRILL : Hunterdon County Emergency Ser (Clinton Twp)

On November 20th 2005 the Hunterdon County Emergency Services Training Center held the last day of Collapse Rescue Operations. The day consisted of all practical evolutions, focusing on different shoring techniques. Six members of the Clinton First Aid & Rescue Squad’s Rescue Company participated in the class along with personnel from both in and out of county. The class spanned five days, three night classroom sessions and two full weekend day practical sessions.

10/19/2005 : DRILL : Clinton Rescue Squad (Clinton)

With the Squad’s purchase of both an AutoPulse (for more information see the “In the News” link or the archives.) and an automated vital sign monitoring system a night of training was in order. During the night while one group of members was oriented with a video introduction to the AutoPulse, followed by hands on training, and scenarios, another group was trained with the use of the automated vital sign monitoring system. Later in the night the groups switched to learn about the other new equipment and the night culminated with a group review section.

07/12/2005 : DRILL : HCESTC (Clinton Twp)

On 7-12-05 the Rescue Company had their monthly drill. The topic for the drill was motor vehicle extrication. The members in attendance practiced vehicle stabilization, glass management, side removals, dash and fender evolutions, roof removals, and air chisel operations.

06/20/2005 : DRILL : HCESTC (Clinton Twp)

Provided cascade support to Station 46 Fire at the Hunterdon County Emergency Services Training Center while performing vehicle fire evolutions.

05/14/2005 : DRILL : HCESTC (Clinton Twp)

On Saturday May 14th the Rescue Squad participated in a joint live burn drill with 45(Clinton) and 46(Annandale) Fire Departments. Fire trained members of the rescue company participated in 4 live burn evolutions. The BLS (45-54) provided rehab services and monitoring while 45-56 provided cascade services and equipment support. In all approximately 30 people participated in the training exercise.

04/10/2005 : DRILL : HCESTC (Clinton Twp)

A joint training section at the Hunterdon County Emergency Services Training Center brought out almost 50 people total. The drill covered basic trench rescue operations and the final 2 scenarios of the day were a lifting operation and a digging operation.
