Around 3:30pm this afternoon, localized flooding began due to heavy downpours, closing several roads in our first due including Hamden Rd. Police and local Public Works placed Road Closed barracades up to warn motorists of the flooding roadways. At just after 6:00pm, the Clinton Squad was requested by Clinton Township PD to come stand by due to a truck that drove into the flooded roadway, and was now stuck, with occupant not willing to get out. Upon arrival, contact was made by the Swiftwater Rescue Team from CFARS, and one occupant was moved to safer ground without incident. |
Last evening, 7 members of CFARS' Rescue Company joined nearly 700 other participants in climbing up 72 flights of stairs at the World Trade Center site, all in the name of young cancer researchers. The members, Connor Beaton, Sean Smith, Captain Chris Miller, Becky Setnicky, Engineer Brad Fagan, Emily Engel and Deputy Chief Matt Stiff participated in the first Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation\'s Runyon Up, a charity stair climb that was held in the newly opened 72-story building at 4 World Trade. We\'d also like to thank Lt. & Mrs. Paul Smith of CFARS, who were sponsors of our combined team along with the Lebanon Boro Fire Company. Great job team!
