EMT Testing Help Page
This page is designed to assist our EMT Students with preparing to take your National Registry Testing, as well as for re-entry EMT Candidates
NREMT Examination / Assessment Guidance (Updated 8/2019)
- Go to www.nremt.org
- Click on CREATE AN ACCOUNT
- Enter your Social Security Number and proceed through registration process
Under 18 years of age at time of testing:
YOU MUST REGISTER FOR "EMT-ASSESSMENT APPLICATION" and place REASON = Under 18
- Follow above steps, then navigate to your Dashboard
- On CREATE CERTIFICATION APPLICATION, Step 1, 3rd option "Application Registry Level", select ASSESSMENT - EMT
- Select REASON = Under 18
- Read & Complete entire application
- Read Affirmation statement & submit
- Pay Application Fee (Currently $80)
- Send email to learn@clintonems.org if you have not been approved for testing after 3 business days with a screen shoot of your application status, including application number
- You must print your Authorization To Test (ATT) which is valid for 90 days
- Schedule your testing
- Upon successful completion, candidate will receive a NJ EMT card valid for 3 years.
- Upon obtaining age of 18, IF under 1 year since end of program, you may email learn@clintonems.org that you'd like to receive your NREMT
- If OVER 1 year since end of your program, you need to complete updated skills (pyscomotor)
18 years of age and older at time of testing:

- Follow above steps, then navigate to your Dashboard
- On CREATE CERTIFICATION APPLICATION, Step 1, 3rd option "Application Registry Level", select "EMT"
- Read & Complete entire application
- Read Affirmation statement & submit
- Pay Application Fee (Currently $80)
- Send email to learn@clintonems.org if you have not been approved for testing after 3 business days with a screen shoot of your application status, including application number
- You must print your Authorization To Test (ATT) which is valid for 90 days
- Schedule your testing
- Upon successful completion, candidate will receive a NJ EMT card valid for 3 years, and a NREMT course valid for 2 years
Re-Tests
If you were unsuccessful in your first attempt at the NREMT test or assessment, you must wait 15 days to reapply following above steps, then you must send a screen shot of your Application Confirmation ID number pending screen to learn@clintonems.org
