In the early morning of May 30, 2003 the Squad was dispatched with the Clinton Fire Department to Main Street for a working structure fire, heavy flames showing. Upon arrival with the fire company found a 2 story tax payer fully involved. The fire quickly spread through the historic building to the 2 adjacent buildings, another 2 store tax payer and a 3 story taxpayer. The squad’s BLS provided ground support as well as rehab services. The rescue provided air, lighting, and assisted in overhaul. The incident lasted for over 12 hours, with numerous fire department and EMS agencies called in to assist.
