The Clinton Rescue Squad, along with Annandale Hose Company and Clinton Fire Department where dispatched the afternoon of Tuesday February 16, 2016 to a reported smoke condition in a residence, possible structure fire. Upon going in service with 2 BLS Ambulances and the Heavy Rescue, the assignment was upgraded to a working structure fire, occupants out, but 2 family pets unaccounted for. Heavy Rescue & 1 BLS arrived on scene, and under direction of the Incident Commander, established and EMS Branch, Rehab area and assisted initial attack operations. An additional BLS Ambulance was added, as well as our REHAB unit and off-road ambulance "MSU-455" to assist with moving equipment and personnel up to the scene from the staging area below.
CFARS had 12 personnel on scene, and remained in operation into the early evening before being cleared by command. At the request of the Hunterdon County Prosecutors Office's, CFARS returned with our Rescue Services Unit to assist in securing part of the structure for the investigation.
Other units responding included: High Bridge Fire Department, Lebanon Borough Fire Department, Califon Fire Department, Quakertown Fire Company, Hunterdon County Tender Task Force, Hunterdon County OEM Fire & EMS Coordinators, Clinton Township Police & Hunterdon County Prosecutors Office. We'd like to also thank the Flemington-Raritan First Aid & Rescue Squad and High Bridge Emergency Squad for staffing cover ambulances in our territory during this incident.
