Clinton Rescue and Annandale Hose Company were dispatched to a two vehicle MVA with injuries on July 16th at 1830hrs. Upon arrival of the first BLS unit, 45-54, Assistant Chief Setnicky established command and advised of a 2 car MVA with one vehicle overturned and 3 patients, all BLS, and negative entrapment. Rescue 45-56 and BLS unit 45-53 arrived shortly after the initial size up and assisted with patient care. 45-54 with 2 and 45-53 with 1 transported the patients to Hunterdon Medical Center. On July 7, 2005 at 0151 hours Clinton Rescue and Annandale Hose Company was dispatched for a MVA, car vs. tractor trailer Rt 78 Exit 18 West. Ambulances 4551 and 4552 went enroute immediately after dispatch, as they were approaching the scene we were advised that there was confirmed entrapment by Chief Strauss of Annandale Hose. Rescue Lt. Hoffman arrived on 1st due BLS unit established command and reported SUV vs. parked tractor trailer with extensive front end damage to SUV and lone occupant was trapped with serious head injuries. Rescue 4556 went enroute within 5 minutes as well as ambulance 4554. On arrival 4556 went into service with three O cutters and the spreaders. Command was turned over to Assist. Chief Setnicky, a helicopter was requested to fly by command but all were down due to weather, our 1st due ALS was from Somerset unit 681. Rescue crews performed a side removal and rapidly extricated pt from vehicle. Ambulance 4552 and MICU 681 took patient to Morristown Memorial Hospital Trauma Center. Rescue 4556 remained on scene for lighting detail for NJ State Police, ambulance 4551 returned to station to handle other calls. All units were cleared at 0410 hours.
