We would like to say Thank You to the members and officers of the Somerville Rescue Squad, who have chosen the team at CFARS to help them with staffing during times when their volunteer ranks are reduced. Today was our first day in the Somerset County seat with SRS, and EMTs Morris & Faulkner handled 6 emergency assignments and 1 standby in the Somerville area.
CFARS has provided assistance to several partners in EMS for the past 20 years. We have unique partnerships with both the High Bridge Emergency Squad as well as the Hampton Emergency Squad dating back many years. We have also offered solutions to the Califon First Aid Squad & Lebanon Township Vol Fire Company/EMS in the past, and have mutual automatic aide agreements with Quakertown Vol Fire Company EMS as well as the Tewksbury First Aid and Rescue Squad.
While this is our first partnership outside of Hunterdon County, it is one that we are just as proud about as our others. Somerville has an agency very similar in many ways to the CFARS and we look forward to assisting them into the near future or as long as they may need.
Our team is operating in one of 2 State licensed BLS Ambulances provided by the Somerville volunteer department, and bring no additional costs to our Clinton operation.
