On Halloween the squad responded to an MVA with entrapment at the intersection of RT 31 and RT 618 in Clinton Township. Upon arrival the first arriving BLS unit found a 2 car MVA car versus a pickup truck with camper. The pickup and camper had jacked knifed causing the truck to be lifted and suspended in air. Although there was no entrapment in the vehicle the truck needed to be stabilized so the occupants could safely exit the vehicle. The car had heavy rear end damage, pushing the rear pillars forward approximately 4-6 inches. The driver of the vehicle was rapidly extricated and treated by ALS. The 2 rear patients of the car were both BLS, and were extricated via roof and side removals.
The squad responded with the Annandale Hose Company for a working structure fire. The house was fully involved upon arrival. The BLS provided rehab services for the FD along with all the mutual aid departments responding. The rescue provided light and air throughout fire ground operations. No patients were reported.
