On Saturday October 18, CFARS was invited to be a part of the Grand Opening of Provident Bank, one of the newest merchants to come to the Town of Clinton. Along with the Grand Opening celebration came a donation for $500 from Christopher Martin, Chairman/President/CEO, Provident Bank.and Laura Rowe, VP and Branch Manager for the Clinton Branch, for the services that CFARS provides to our town and the surrounding areas. CFARS would like to wish Laura and her team at Provident Bank a very warm welcome to the town, as well as offer our thanks for their generous donation to our organization!
This morning members participated in the first of several reviews of our Personal Protective and Isolation Kit materials. Reviewing current events, as well as proper ways to put on and take off available protective equipment was covered.
On October 20th the rescue company attended a live burn drill with Annandale Hose Company. The drill consisted of multiple scenarios practicing line advancement, venting, ground ladder operations, and general fire fighting techniques. The Heavy Rescue also provided scene lighting and air cascade services for the drill. The Rescue company does continuing education and training through out the year with our fire departments to be able to assist them on the fire ground. Thank you to Annandale Hose Company for the invitation.
Congratulations to member Kevin Creech on his recent marriage to Hannah Bittenmaster. The two had a family ceremony held at the Hunterdon County Arboretum in Clinton Township Saturday October 4, 2014. Congrats Kevin & Hannah!
This morning, ASAP#14 was assigned at a missing person exercise in Kingwood Township. Under the direction of Kingwood Twp. Volunteer Fire, our unit joined Flemington-Raritan First Aid and Rescue Squad's MSU495 and other off road vehicles. They where searching for a simulated missing hunter
![]() Congratulations today go out to volunteer member Brody Longo, who completed his basic training with the US Army and graduated in a ceremony held at Fort Sill, Lawton, Oklahoma. Brody is heading to Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas tonight to continue his training to become a US Army Combat Medic. Safe travels and great work Brody! |
