Initial responding crew could only access the patient with an off road ambulance due to injured party being about a half mile into the woods. Out ASAP Off-Road All Terrain Ambulance, was once again called and responded to assist. This is the second time in less than a month that this Homeland Security funded unit, assigned to our department by the NJ EMS Task Force, was utilized here on the State Park.
Once making patient contact, it was determined the injuries where from falling on the rocks. The patient was treated and transported in ASAP-14, to an awaiting ambulance to transport to a local hospital.
The squad responded with 12 personnel
